Due to that curse, the sage thereafter came to be called Dirghatamas. Afija (son of Asija—Dirghatamas) too was highly renowned by virtue of his power ( of penance) like Brhaspati. He too 794 Vayu Pur&ya stayed in the hermitage of his brother observing celibacy. He heard of Godharma (the law of cattle—behaving like a bull or cow) from the bull, the son of Surabhi (Kamadhenu ) .
