His son was Abhijit and his son was Punarvasu. The excellent man (King) had performed a horse-sacrifice for the sake of a son. In the course of that sacrifice, while the rites of Atiratra were being performed, he was born in the middle of the assembly. Therefore Punarvasu became a scholar, donor and righteous performer of Yajiias.
