Here Devas, Sages and Gandharvas represent light and immortality—the actinic portion of the Solar Spectra. The Serpents, Gramanis (Yaksas) and Raksasas signify heat or death, the thermal field of the Spectra. This Heptad of the Sun signifies the mutual difference in the different “wavelengths” of the seven colours. This may be regarded as Puranic VIBGYOR.
