आ नो॑ भर॒ वृष॑णं॒ शुष्म॑मिन्द्र धन॒स्पृतं॑ शूशु॒वांसं॑ सु॒दक्ष॑म् । येन॒ वंसा॑म॒ पृत॑नासु॒ शत्रू॒न्तवो॒तिभि॑रु॒त जा॒मीँरजा॑मीन्
ā no bhara vṛṣaṇaṃ śuṣmamindra dhanaspṛtaṃ śūśuvāṃsaṃ sudakṣam yena vaṃsāma pṛtanāsu śatrūntavotibhiruta jāmīm̐rajāmīn
Bring us the strong-boned bull, O Indra, the grain-bearing, the swift-horsed host, the skillful herd. By whom, among the angry foes and the slayers, may we be safeguarded, their slaughters turned away.
Bestow upon us, Indra, vigorous strenght, the realizer of wealth, great and propitious, wherewith, thorugh your protection, we may destroy our enemies in battles, whether they be kinsmen or strangers.
Indra, bestow on us the power heroic skilled and exceeding strong, that wins the booty, Wherewith, by thine assistance, we may conquer our foes in battle, be they kin or stranger.
