The Ikṣvāku dynasty (vaṃśa) - Verse 15

The King said:: Vikukṣi who had gone for hunting, ate a rabbit. When Vikukṣi returned with the meat and his army, the king urged Vasiṣṭha saying “Let the meat be sprinkled (with holy water)”. Vasiṣṭha said “So be it”. On being urged thus the meat was duly presented by the king. On seeing the meat polluted, Vasiṣṭha became angry and spoke to him:—
