The Lineage of Manu: Manvantaras - Verse 92

Sūta replied:: This cow (viz. the earth) was milked by that intelligent great king (for the sake of) vegetables for the subjects who were desirous of sustenance. He was accompanied by the Devas, the groups of sages, the Pitṛs, the Dānavas, the Gandharvas, the groups of celestial damsels, the serpents, the Puṇyajanas (the demons and goblins), the mountains, the trees and the creepers.
